CMC Rescue has transformed its authoritative Rope Rescue Field Guide into a full-featured phone app packed with valuable charts, diagrams, and how-to information. Users can even customize this great, easy-to-use app with their own Notes and Favorites for quick reference in the field. It’s free to download for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, and a version for the Android platform.
The new app gives you access to CMC Rescue’s entire 132-page Rope Rescue Field Guide, complete with full-color illustrations. The guide includes everything from equipment overviews and tutorials to sections on knots, communications, and anchor, belay, and M/A systems.
Its Favorites capability allows an officer to build their own quick reference section. By tagging a section as a Favorite, thye can access it without scrolling through the guide. Notes allow them to customize the guide by creating their own notations that are attached to the page of the section they are browsing. Either type in notes or cut and paste essential information from e-mail or other sources. Notes are also accessible from the navigation bar at the bottom of each page.
The Rescue Field Guide app complements the CMC Rope Rescue Manual, Rope Rescue Field Guide, and Confined Space Field Guide, as well as the CMC Rescue website. It allows users to access rescue references instantly in the palm of their hand, optimize their field guide for specific specialties, and browse products, tutorials, and user guides.
